1. Democratic Enlightenment program
The Fifth Pillar provides training with the title “Youth & Politics” to young leaders, law students, and lawyers from across Myanmar, organizes monthly special talks with timely topics related to the election and politics and conducts numbers of Civic Education training as nationwide level by collaborating with partner organizations.
2.Promoting Rule of Law Program
The Fifth Pillar provides pro-bono legal training and consultations for gender-based violence cases and labor disputes. Since its establishment in 2016, TFP has been conducting trainings and special talks related to legal education such as Human Trafficking protection Law, labor rights, women protection Laws, paralegals, gender & law, 2008 constitution, etc… with the objective of promoting rule of law in Myanmar.
Regarding to the Labor rights issues, TFP has just completed “Awareness Raising Training on Labor Law for Garment factory Workers” project in March 2020, funded by ILO. By implementing this project, TFP gained rich experiences in working with the garment factory workers in Yangon who are mostly internal migrants from rural sides of the country. TFP had also done the legal analysis paper on Domestic Worker and published it in 2019 with several launching events by collaborating with Labor Rights Organizations and Trade Unions.
3.Advancing Social Empathy
TFP organizes monthly social empathy activity, offering food and stationery, giving motivational talks and legal talks to training schools and marginalized communities.
Currently, TFP is implementing two projects namely “Youth Civic and Voter Education Program in Myanmar” and “Preventing Human Trafficking and Increasing Legal Awareness Project” funded by USAID, Australia-Aid, DFID, UKaid, The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.
